My 87 yr old Grandma recently fell don't the stairs and had a bleeding in her brain and a broken collar bone.  After weeks in the hospital with physical therapy, we determined we could not bring her back home.  She was unable to walk, dress, or bath on her own and needed 24 hour care.

We were completely overwhelmed with all of the next steps that we needed to take...on top being anxious about her feelings and ours about putting in her a home.

A friend recommended an Austin based company to us, http://www.assistlocators.com.

They were amazing...they did everything from help us price out different nursing homes to helping us with her estate!  It seems overwhelming at first, but there is help out there.

That's great news! Nursing homes is just one of your options. You can always bring home your loved one if you want and just hire a caregiver. In this way you can monitor grandmother and you can ensure her health and safety all the time.
