Home health care is the fastest-growing expense in the Medicare program because of the aging population, the increasing prevalence of chronic disease and increasing hospital costs. Patients and families are choosing the option of home care more frequently.

Home Health care is an option most individuals should consider first before a nursing home.  It really depends on how ill the person is.  I believe home care aides are not medically qualified and therefore not allowed to handle medical aspects of it.  They cook, clean, laundry, grocery shop, accompany to appointments, give companionship and remind their patient to take their meds.

Sharing their stories and tips on dealing with issues are an integral part of the learning process, especially given the difficult questions asked.

hey
Home care can be a good option for many seniors. They are able to stay in the familiar surroundings of their own home, but have greater piece of mind otherwise they feel secure and think they are not part of the family.

They cook, clean, laundry, grocery shop, accompany to appointments, give companionship and remind their patient to take their meds.  Home care lets the patient continue to live in his/her familiar surroundings, friends/family and will have one-to-one care.  At a nursing home, you may not get the attention you need or desire.  How about we start a new topic called:  How you should prepare for your loved one's home care.

Every coin has two sides one is good and other one is bad. The phase that you faced was bad one, but it doesn't mean that every home care facility is bad. While selecting caregiver you have to take help of home care agencies and during the selection of these agencies you have to keep in mind some point regarding that agency like reputation, their certification, old resident's experience etc.

The students' experiences are an important part of the class. Sharing their stories and tips on dealing with issues are an integral part of the learning process, especially given the difficult questions asked. She said the class bonded quickly, and the shared experiences helped everyone understand the struggles of home health care.
