My mom has been doing very well lately since we moved her to the new nursing home.  When I look back and reflect on our situation we have come a long way in less than a year.  At her old home we would often get surprise invoices for medicine.  One time we even got a bill for eye drops that were over $120.  This is very hard on us since my mom is a private pay resident. The new medicines that we would need were in part due to the poor care she was receiving.

Now that we have moved her she is doing much better due to the better care and we are no longer getting surprise bills for medicine that we did not authorize.  On top of that we are saving about $1000 per month.  So I would tell everyone that is in a similar situation with a loved one in a nursing home, stay optimistic and vigilant.  You have the power to improve your situation.

HI,
This creates extra work for the caretakers, and shows disrespect to the other families who come to mourn their loved ones
Thanks
